1. Who we are

WillWriting.sg (the “Service”) is a will-writing and estate-planning matching portal for Singapore residents and expatriates. In this policy “we”, “us” and “our” refer to the operator of WillWriting.sg. We handle personal data in accordance with the Singapore Personal Data Protection Act 2012 (“PDPA”).

We are not a law firm. WillWriting.sg does not provide legal advice and is not an “authorised person” under the Legal Profession Act 1966. We connect consumers with third-party will-writing and estate-planning providers; any legal services you ultimately receive are provided by those third parties, governed by a separate engagement directly between you and them.

2. What personal data we collect

When you complete our enquiry or quote form we collect:

  • Your name, email address and mobile number;
  • The service type, urgency and budget range you select;
  • Any free-text details you provide in the “Anything else” field;
  • Technical metadata about your visit (pages viewed, referrer, approximate IP-derived location, device type, and UTM marketing parameters).

We do not request or store your NRIC, FIN, passport number, financial account details, or any health information through our forms. If a provider you are matched with subsequently requests such information, that exchange is direct between you and that provider, under their own privacy policy.

3. Why we collect it

Under the PDPA, you are notified that we collect, use and disclose your personal data for these purposes:

  • To match your enquiry to suitable will-writing or estate-planning providers;
  • To share your enquiry with up to three matched providers so they may contact you about your enquiry;
  • To send you confirmation and follow-up communications about your specific enquiry;
  • To improve the Service (aggregated analytics);
  • To meet our legal record-keeping obligations.

4. Third parties we may share your enquiry with

By submitting our form you consent to us disclosing your enquiry to the matched providers in the list below. We disclose your enquiry to a provider only when the matching logic indicates they are likely to be relevant; we do not broadcast your enquiry to every listed provider.

  • First Light Estate Planning Pte Ltd (firstlight.com.sg) — Singapore-based estate-planning consultancy offering will, LPA, trust and business-succession services. Not a law firm.
  • Other Singapore will-writing and estate-planning providers we onboard over time and list on /providers. Any new partner appearing on that page is disclosed here within seven days of going live.

We also use trusted infrastructure providers acting on our instructions: Netlify Inc. (form intake, hosting; data may transit through Netlify's global edge network), Google LLC (analytics, anonymised), and the email provider we use to send you confirmations. These providers are bound by confidentiality and process data only to deliver the Service.

We do not sell your personal data.

5. Your rights under the PDPA

You have the right to (a) request access to the personal data we hold about you, (b) request correction of inaccurate data, and (c) withdraw the consent you have given. Email hello@willwriting.sg to exercise any of these rights. We aim to respond within 30 days.

Note that withdrawing consent after we have already disclosed your enquiry to a matched provider does not automatically cause that provider to delete the enquiry. To request deletion of your data held by a matched provider, contact the provider directly.

6. Cookies and analytics

We use cookies and similar technologies to understand site usage (via Google Analytics 4 — GA4 measurement ID G-WKMM6W37W2) and measure marketing performance. Analytics data is collected in aggregated form. You can disable cookies in your browser settings; the Service will still function.

7. Retention

We retain enquiry data for up to 24 months from your last interaction, to handle follow-up matching and meet legal record-keeping obligations. Aggregated analytics is retained per the GA4 default retention setting.

8. Data Protection Officer + complaints

Our PDPA Data Protection Officer can be reached at hello@willwriting.sg. If a privacy concern is unresolved, you may contact the Personal Data Protection Commission of Singapore at pdpc.gov.sg.

9. Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be flagged on the homepage for at least 14 days. The “Last updated” date above will always reflect the most recent revision.
